Messina
Messina, Italy — what to do while your ship is in port.
Messina sits on the Strait separating Sicily from mainland Italy, with the astronomical clock tower at the Duomo one of the most elaborate in the world (it performs a mechanical show daily at noon). Excursions commonly head to Taormina's cliffside Greek theater and views of Mount Etna, or to the beaches of the Ionian coast.
