Road Town is the gateway to some of the Caribbean's best sailing waters. Excursions run to The Baths on Virgin Gorda, a maze of giant granite boulders forming natural sea pools and grottoes, and to Cane Garden Bay, a calm beach popular for swimming and beach bars. Ferry trips to Jost Van Dyke's Soggy Dollar Bar (birthplace of the painkiller cocktail) are a favorite for a laid-back island day.
