Charlotte Amalie is a favorite for duty-free shopping, especially jewelry and liquor along Main Street. Megan's Bay, consistently rated one of the world's best beaches, is a short taxi ride away. The Skyride to Paradise Point cable car gives panoramic harbor views, and Coral World Ocean Park offers an underwater observatory and sea trek excursions. Ferries also run from here to nearby St. John for Trunk Bay in the Virgin Islands National Park.
